In-Person Consultation

We assess your hair and scalp, discuss the best extension methods for your needs, review maintenance expectations, and create a personalized plan. You will leave understanding exactly what is realistic for your hair and budget.

This comprehensive evaluation forms the foundation for creating a custom hair plan tailored just for you. The session is charged at $65, which will be applied towards your extensions on the day of their application. For our out-of-town guests, we offer a FaceTime consultation, the process will be similar without the ability to provide an exact quote.

Custom Hair Ordering

Your extension hair is color-matched, texture-matched, and ordered specifically for you. When needed, we custom-blend tones to ensure a seamless, natural-looking result.

Installation

Your installation is never rushed. We focus on secure placement, comfort, and invisible blending so your extensions feel like your own hair.

Two-Week Check-In

We ensure everything is settling properly, make adjustments if needed, and answer any questions. This step is key to long-term comfort and wear.


Maintenance

Most clients follow a maintenance schedule that supports both extension longevity and natural hair health:
Sew-in extensions: every 6, 7, or 8 weeks
K-tip extensions: every 8–12 weeks, depending on growth rate and density
With proper home care and consistent maintenance, extensions can last 10 months or longer.

PRICING

Extension pricing can vary significantly, typically ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 or more. Several factors determine the final cost, including the method used, the volume/density/length desired, the client’s current hair condition, colors, texture, and the skill of the artist. 

Extensions are an investment in yourself, and we want you to understand the value and craftsmanship behind every strand. We understand that this investment can come with sticker shock. Our goal is to prepare you for the cost as much as we can before meeting you and ensure you receive the best possible results and value for your investment.


MAINTENANCE

Following the initial install, maintenance costs can range from $225 to $1,500+; depending on the method and frequency of upkeep, which can be every 6 weeks to 4 months. We work closely with each client to develop an individual plan that best meets their desired hair goals.

Skilled artisans hand-tie individual hairs, creating the custom pieces that will soon become a part of your look. Each bundle is meticulously colored to match the desired shades, ensuring a perfect blend with your natural hair. Once the hair is ready, it is shipped to us, where our process begins.

At Good Hair Collective, we perform additional cleaning, coloring, and preparation to ensure the highest quality. When it’s time for your installation, our expert artists meticulously install and blend the hair, ensuring a seamless and natural look. This journey, from the original grower to your final look, involves many skilled hands and careful attention to detail.
